Santa's List, & Q goes TDY

Aloha everyone!

Well, looks like the Christmas season is in full swing! We've got our Christmas tree up and trimmed, our Holiday decorations are out and we even got a little holiday shopping done! Did anyone go Black Friday shopping? We weren't going to go, but Kevin said he wanted to, so off we went! It was actually not bad! Of course there was a LONG line outside of ToysRUs. But they were super organized and everything ran smoothly and quickly. Our Black Friday experience here was WAY better than in El Paso, TX. EVERYONE out there was pushing and shoving and trying to grab things from you. It was INSANE! But here, people of course were in a hurry, but didn't try to run you over with their carts or shove you out of the way or pull things from your hands. I actually enjoyed it! Glad the ALOHA spirit was apparent during the holiday frenzy!

As you all know, this is Kev's first of 3 TDY's to Korea. This one is only for a little over a week. He will be gone for 2 1/2 weeks in January, and then for almost a month end of February/beginning of March. Which by the way he will be gone for our 5 year anniversary. *sighs* But what can I do right? That's the job of an Army wife! So I take it with a grain of salt and try to smile. Anywho.....I was going to post some LOs, but I'm having problems with GottaPixel and can't show you yet. So hopefully I'll get some to you all soon and maybe some photos when Josh comes to visit. Did I forget to mention that? Yes Josh will be coming in for the Holidays. He gets here a couple days after Kevin comes back and leaves a couple days before Kevin leaves again. Are you a Turkey baby Q? LOL j/k! Every 4 years, my Birthday lands on Mother's Day and Q's lands on Thanksgiving. (Aren't we special?) LOL. Okay, Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday today and to send my love some Birthday wishes! I might be back later on. I know I have a lot to tell you about these past couple of days concerning myself and li'l man. So, be on the look out for that! And of course, starting tomorrow, the Christmas season is starting! HECTIC! Oh well, I guess that's part of the holiday right? The hustle and bustle! I might change my blog LO to a more festive mood and maybe have some Christmas songs for you as well!

Well, I've been talking about it and talking about it, so I finally did it. I've entered Tranq into the Cute Kid contest. One in the Halloween costume & the other in the Monthly contest. Well, here's another favor I am asking of you. Please vote for Tranq HERE I think voting ends on November 15th. I believe the prize is $500. But I also entered him in the monthly contest. If he wins, HERE is a list of prizes he's eligible for. Aloha! Did everyone have a good Halloween/weekend? Well, if you haven't gone to GP for the DSD celebration, stop on by because there are still a TON of challenges to participate in because it is also GP's 3rd Birthday!!!! Anyways, there is a Gotta Get Dressed Challenge where we are supplied w/ donated freebies to "dress" up our Avatars. The elements used were from Stacy Carlson and the background paper is from Paula Yagisawa. Here's what I made:

New Slideshow

Aloha everyone!
Well as you may have noticed, I've added a slide show to my blog. Yes siree! I found out how to do it! LOL. Anyways, some of you may recognize this from my MySpace page, but I've added new LOs that I've created. (Even made one today!) You can find the credits to all these LOs at my gallery. If you like any of the kits I used, just click on the link where it says: "Link to kit in store" and PRESTO! You too can buy the fabulous kit! LOL okay, that was corny, but oh well! I know, I still haven't posted photos from Kuya's wedding or Q's promotion or when John's ship pulled into port and we got to take a tour, or Halloween (okay, that was only yesterday so you gotta give me a break on that one! LOL). But I will! I know, I'm the Queen of procrastination, but you all knew that! And it does get done.....eventually! LOL

Oh yeah, besides it being DSD today, there is also a Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking Expo going on this weekend. So guess who's going early Christmas shopping! Woot! Who knows, maybe Q will get into it a bit!

Server Overload! HAPPY DSD DAY!

Hey everyone! If you don't know already, today is DSD (Digital Scrapbooking Day) and boy is it busy! I even woke up early because I'm about 5 hours behind the mainland so I can participate in all the fun activities over at GP. There is a 50% off store-wide sale and fantastic contests and challenges, but as much as I try and try....I keep getting a server busy thingy popping up. I was actually on there for a hot second, but when I tried to open a new page, no luck! Oh well! I'll keep trying because I sure don't want to miss out on the day's fun festivities!

BTW, how was everyone's Halloween? Hope y'all had a Spooktacular time! I will be posting photos of the night's events soon! Maybe a LO (Layout) or two! LOL.

Last month I was asked to join the Praiser team at GottaPixel. I've been a member of the community since May which is when I actually started getting into Digital Scrapbooking. It is a fun and user friendly site for those who are just starting out in digital scrapbooking as well as advanced digi scrappers. There are lots of games and challenges to participate in as well as free downloads! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! There's even a tutorial section for those of us who need help in sharpening our digi scrapping skills. You can upload your layouts to the gallery so everyone can ooh and ahhh over your talents! Kuya's Gettin Hitched!

That's right, my older brother is getting married in 2 weeks and the Qs are excited! I can't wait to go to NC and witness the celebration of his marriage with his wonderful fiance. Being the only girl with 2 brothers, I'm excited I get a sister. Well, in-law, but still a sister is a sister! LOL They asked me to help out with a couple things for their wedding, and I'd like to share them with you! Names of course have been edited.

I also made a sign to go along with the baskets filled with toiletries for the restrooms at the reception and tags for the favors.I can't remember where my future SIL found the templates for these, but I just modified it to suit her wedding.

First Post...new to Blogger

Okay, so this is my first post and I'm very excited! Not only did I break down and finally start a blog, but I have exciting news!

I actually won a game! Three wonderful designers: Kathryn Estry, Sarah Meyer, & Lynne Simmons had a blog bingo this month, and I won! I'm super duper excited!!!!!!! Didn't think I was going to win because of the time difference and I'm usually late checking the words on these ladies' blogs, but today, I was woken up by a work phone call for my DH and couldn't go back to sleep. So I decided to get up and try my luck at the Blog Bingo, and wouldn't you know it, I got it! I was in shock, waiting for Kathryn Estry to email me back to see if I was the first to email. I actually shrieked! LOL. I won $10 to each designer's store at Gottapixel.net. Can't wait to use my shopping spree! If you haven't checked these ladies out yet, GO! GO! GO! They are amazing at what they do! THANK YOU LADIES SOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE EXCITING BINGO GAME AND WONDERFUL PRIZES! CAN'T WAIT TO USE THEM!
